Ive had a really bad year.. Anyway i want to start next year differently, the last 5 new year eve i've spent in the same town..
i've had a really ruff time with my naw ex G/F, she messed my head up.!
I was thinkin this year if the weather is O.K to go up to the mountains or the beach, try and clear my head and start next year differently.. Is it weird that i wana spend a bit of time on my own, when you should be surrounded by people..
I dunno if im in the correct category.?

Well, you're looking to start things in a different way and hope that things turn out differently from what they usually do. You think that if you start a year in a positive, independent way, then you won't have such a rough time in the year to come! There is nothing wrong with that at all! But you have to be prepared for disappointment. The way you start your new year is not always a reflection of the year that you are going to have. But if you feel that you want to be alone, go for it! It'll give you some time to think some things over and make some new resolutions for the year to come! I hope everything turns out well for you!

Nope not weird at all. My husband and I prefer to spend New Year's Eve just me and him because that's who we want to spend the next year with. I mean we love our friends and family and going out and stuff but the past couple of years we have had a blast celebrating at home just me and him. We are the same way with the 4th of July. We go down to Key West and take a boat out to watch fireworks from the water, away from all the crowds.

Perfectly fine....we had a bad year this year too...got laid off from my job of 21 years, defaulted on my credit card due to the layoff, and those guys were'nt nice about it at all. Me and my wife is going to stay in and enjoy each other over the weekend. No entertaining. No trips. No nothing. (maybe a little sex....)

why not. a bit of self reflection is good no matter what the time of year. there's no obligation to be with people on new years. that actually sounds like a good idea.

no, it's not weird. spend as much time on your own to get your thoughts together and get your mind right. once you do that, your '07 is gonna be great

Well if that is what u want then its totally fine i guess.. although i would prefere to be with my frndz.. (NOT FAMILY!!!) if u got any close frndz travel with them ..
