When I was in school I was the same way, except I didn't even need to study, listening to the teacher in class was plenty for me to graduate top in my class....And I used it to my advantage. Being the smart kid is awesome!! You get more respect from the teachers which in-turn gives you more freedom in school to do fun things whenever you want. I would skip classes and hang out with my friends in there classes, or leave to go get lunch or whatever. And I never got in trouble because I always was the best achedemically. I would tell my Dean that the classes would bore me and I was getting antsy sitting there, so I left to go somewhere else so I wasn't disruptive. And nobody seemed to have a problem with it. In turn that made me popular with the other students because not only was I smart, but I was a little of a smart *** as well, which gardnered respect in both aspects.

What ever you do don't slack off, you'll regret it down the road. I woulda killed to have brains like you in school. I think they are all just jealous, I know I was jealous of the smart ones. Especially the ones that slept through class and still Aced the tests.
Talk to your teachers that tend to point you out in class. Tell them you feel uncomfortable with the attention and you would really just like to blend in. They should understand.
Just remember the better you do in school the better colleges you will go to and the better jobs you'll get in the future.
Good luck with all your endeavors.

Some people are just gifted that way, some of those people who are bothering you might be the very same ones picking your garbage up from the curb in a few years. Don't sweat it, I say stick with it and get the best education you can. And tell your teachers to quit singling you out as it makes you uncomfortable and they will.

politely ask teachers not to single you out. they should know that nobody in H.S. wants the nerd label. i'm not saying to downplay your smarts but maybe the teachers could tone down the gushing compliments.
don't worry about your classmates. one day they will all be working for you :)

Ya know what? So what if they think of you in that respect! They are jealous and/or envious, that's all!
It's pretty nice to have a brain and be capable of utilizing it for all it's worth! Be proud!

I get that all the time...teacher's pet, nerd, etc. Just laugh and say that you'll be laughing at them when they're shoveling manure while you're a millionaire!
