Congratulations on having a new baby! Gaining the weight before you became pregnant could be explained in a difference in your diet and not enough exercise. If you cut out soda you would be cutting out 500 calories a day! Walking really helps burn your calories and also helps with labor when you do go into labor to have the baby. You can also eat more vegetables. Did you know eating broccoli is a negative calorie food? It takes more calories to digest it then to eat it! You can also cut down on your carbohydrates such as bread. That will help too. Good luck!

Read my posting to mu_ba's question, same answer, except that you are pregnant and should read about pre natal care and how a woman's body is supposed to change in order to bring a new life onto this planet. You should likely do some research on WebMD for what and when to expect the changes to occur. First and foremost seek the advice of an obstetrician or at least a family doctor for pre-natal care in a comprehensive fashion.

CONGRATS on the pregancy ,but that does not explain why you have been putting on weight for the last 6 months ??
However since your body and lifestyle are going to experience some major changes over the next few months I guess what ever you were doing to put on weight is irrelevant now.

pills..drugs...food..everyone misses the most important aspect..exercise...if people would exercise more they would not have to worry so darn much about food...Are you really serious about doing this? We are talking about hard work. Putting down your little debbies, getting off your butt and not only going on a diet but EXERCISING!!! Even if you lose the weight it will come right back if you do not have the desire and motivation to not only look cute but to be healthy. it is going to take alot of inner strength I can assure you of that.

1.) eat 4-5 small meals a day

2.) drink lots of water

3.)exercise every day

4.) do not eat 4-6 hours before you sleep

If you are worried about the weight gain then exercise and proper eating habits help. Dont eat late, and try to stay away from stogy foods. The baby will change your apatite as well so dont be suprised if you start hating the foods you used to love. Try to stay away from fizzy drinks.

the older you get the harder it is for your body to burn fat easily. Plus now that you are pregnant you should avoid any drastic dieting or rigorous exercises unless you were used to it before you got pregnant. Good thing on giving up fatty foods. Healthy you healthy baby.
