I'm 14 years old and weigh around 120lbs at 5'3". I've been the same size for about two years and I'm not fat, but I know I will be because I like to eat and not exercise.

I have a little bit of flab on my stomach and I'd like to get rid of that. How many crunches in a day would be good? Do I need to do a variety of crunches or are simple ones fine?

And for cardio...there are two parts to this that present a problem. I absolutely hate running, but I still want to get better at it [We have to run a mile every week in PE and my average time is normally in the low 8s]. Is there a way to improve, without jogging a mile every other day? If there's not, then what should I do for cardio that doesn't involve running? What about bike riding, does that help?

You should vary your excercise so your body doesn't get used to the same thing all the time. Do crunches 3 times a week and alternate it with some light weights. There are some good, fun excercise DVDs out and one I can recommend is "Yoga Booty Ballet". Since you are young you will really like it. It's a fun program with dancing and excercise combined for an all over body workout. It's great for cardio also, but the best thing is to walk at least 30 minutes a day. I hate jogging, and I'm not a runner, but walking will give your heart a real boost. Good luck!

That sounds kind of like me.. Maybe you should watch FitTv..I have done that before and they have some cool workouts sometimes.. And I can't remember the exact amount but Walking for an hour will burn almost as many calories as running for half an hour. I think the amount is about 250 calories.
Hope this helps!! Good Luck!!
