Wow, you're incredible. 25 is so young. I'm 32, and I'm saying that. Take it from a geezer in training, "Carpe Diem!" ("Seize the day".) My only advice is stolen from Dave Ramsey: take baby steps. As you complete each level successfully, you will be emboldened to believe you can accomplish the next.
Depending on your course of study, it may not be beneficial to go all the way to PhD level. Once you get that high, you may have to move someplace else just to get somebody to pay you what you're worth, and I bet your cousin needs your presence more than your money.

I'm not sure how it works in AL, but I don't think you can actually go back to High School at 25 years old. You can probably take a high school equivalency exam or get a GED (general education degree). If your serious about pursuing a career with the fire department, I would suggest check with someone who works there and ask them what you need to do. I highly doubt you need a PHD to do that. Usually just a high school diploma or the equivalent and pass an exam and physical. Good Luck!

Definately, get your HS diploma out of the way first. Good on you for wanting to work toward a PhD, but do you really need one to be a fireman? Seems like a waste of time and effort, not to mention PhDs are very expensive.

Great to finished your education. But, I think you need to get your GED at home school. Then do the rest as you want to,
At the age 25 in high school won't fit in very well.
Hope you and your family have a great Christmas.
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

I agree with furthering your education. You go as high as your aspirations desire...you're never too old to learn and start anew. If you're doing it solely for a firefighter's position, going as high as a Masters Degree should "get it".

Better some day than never. If you won't, you'll probably regret it later.
