baby oil is just mineral oil and the molecules are not small enough to penetrate the skin and make a difference. It is a temporary fix. First of all exfoliate. Get rid of the dry skin first. You can do this with a body brush and just dry brush all over. Brush up toward your heart to increase circulation. It is really great to do this before your shower. Moisturize with Aveeno or Cetephil. Sometimes you just need something simple. Olive oil is wonderful for skin. You can dry brush before your shower and use olive oil right after. Then use Aveeno or Cetephil during the day.

I have heard of bathing with baby oil but be careful when you get in and out since it will be slippery. I have really dry skin especially with this cold weather. I typically shower with warm water since your skin is drying out a lot when you shower anyway. I towel dry really fast and than rub on baby oil. I do that in the mornings and than if I shower at nights I rub on a really thick lotion. I know a lot of people that use vit. E cream too. hopefully that helps.

I've heard that baby oil can actually make things worse. Have you tried a moisturizing body wash followed by a hydrating lotion?

BEFORE YOU GO TO BATH TAKE SOME SESAME OIL OR ALMOND OIL AND RUB IT ONTO YOUR BODY TILL THEY GET INTO YOUR SKIN .APPLY OIL TWO OR THREE TIMES IN THE SAME AREAS AND GO FOR A BIT HOT WATER BATH.DONT TAKE TOO MUCH LONG BATHS AS THIS CAN REMOVE OIL FROM SKIN AGAIN.
THIS TREATMENT WILL CHECK THE OIL IN YOUR SKIN WELL.

Rub vaseline all over them. My face dries out like anything and it's the only thing that brings the oil right back.
