Humans did not originate from Monkeys. Both Humans and Monkeys came from the same origins, but evolved differently. Think of a tree. Humans are one branch, Monkeys are another, and from these branches, other branches will sprout. For eg. Neanderthal man was a branch off of the human branch, which became extinct. Who knows maybe in a couple hundred thousand years, what we know as human today, will also become extinct, and a newer version of the human species will be born. It's almost like waiting for the latest version of PlayStation.

That's not what Darwin was implying with his research. What you need to do is pick up a book and educate yourself on evolution. I am a Christian and I believe in Darwin's theory because it makes sense. It doesn't say we came from monkeys!

Well I have been known to throw my feces at people, does that qualify me to be a monkey? I think I would like to be one. If i can keep my brain now. I could learn so much I would be a smart monkey and I would be famous. I am a dump person, but I would be a smart monkey.

OK. We took a vote over here in the biology group and agreed that we are from the ape family. However, just so as not to offend, we also voted you out of that family. In fact, we decided you are not a primate. Just let us know if we can still refer to you as a mammal. Your call.

No, I believe that monkeys and humans (and apes) are all distant cousins.

It was Christians who circulated the myth that humans evolved from monkeys, in an attempt to debase Darwin's far more logical theory that we share common ancestors with modern apes. It seems the monkey thing is easier to argue against.
No, I do not believe that I'm a monkey. Like all humans I'm an ape.

Humans are a type of primate. Closely related to chimpanzees, closely related enough to be considered a sub species of chimp.
