Depends on how you define "fastest growing". Christianity still has a slight lead over Islam for most members. But Islam has been showing more increase then Chrsitianity.

But what do you do with some minor little religion that only had 2 members a year ago. Now it has 20 members. That would be a 1000% increase. Neither of the "big 2" can match that. So that little unknown religion would have beaten them both.

Religion is on the decline. Lack of religion grows at a much faster rate than any religion.

Other than that, I would say that most religions are fairly stagnant right now, Muslims would say they rate highest, but in all reality they are just spreading their believers around the world. The fastest growing religions would be the ones just starting out.

I not sure how it should be referred; But;
Mohammedanism/Islam/Muslim.
In the 7th century A.D. Mohammedanism swept across the Eastern world, Southwest Asia to North Africa. They wiped out Christianity in that area. In 732 A.D. the Mohammedan Army was finally defeated by Charles Martel, who was a grandson of Charlemagne. It is said this was one of the most "Decisive Battles of the Ages". IF, it were not for that one victory Christianity may have been eliminated. We all be Muslims, Ha!
But, we can see Christianity has came back strong. So, in actuality Christianity may be faster growing.

Several Claim to be:
Buddhism
The Australian Bureau of statistics claims Buddhism to be the fastest growing religion in Australia in terms of percentage gain with a growth of 79.1% for the period 1996 to 2001 (200,000→358,000) [2]

Falun Gong
No reliable data is available for the number of adherents of Falun Gong but as this religion was only established in 1992 most of the growth must have been by conversion. Estimates for the number of adherents for 1999 range from 2 million [3] to 100 million [4]

Christianity
As Christianity is the largest religion in the world, any increase in the world population will give Christianity a greater absolute number of new members.

The U.S. Center for World Mission claimed a growth rate of 2.3% for the period 1970 to 1996, (slightly higher than the world population growth rate at the time). This increased the percentage of Christians from 33.7% to 33.9%.
The World Christian Encyclopaedia estimates that Christianity receives 2,500,000 converts a year.[1]

Islam
Most of the data for Islam are based on the higher than average birth rates and consequent population growth of Muslim countries and communities, along with the effects of immigration.

The World Almanac Book of Facts 1935 estimated 209,020,000 Muslims in the World. The Readers Digest Almanac 1983, estimated 700,000,000, Comparing these two estimates gives an average annual growth of 5% or 10,228,750 for Islam over these 48 years[5] But note that this value is unreliable as these rates are calculated from two separate sources, which may have used different counting rules.
A United Nations' survey showed that between 1989 and 1998, Europe's Muslim population grew by more than 100 percent, due mainly to the effects of immegration. Ontario Consultants on Religious Tolerance] have an unsourced claim of 2.9% per year
The World Christian Encyclopaedia estimates that Islam receives 865,000 converts a year.[2]
In 2006 countries with a Muslim majority have an average population growth rate of 1.8% per year (when weighted by percentage Muslim and population size)[6]. This compares with a world population growth rate of 1.12% per year. [7]

Non-Religious
The American Religious Identification Survey gave Non-Religious groups the largest gain in terms of absolute numbers - 14,300,000 (8.4% of the population) to 29,400,000 (14.1% of the population) for the period 1990 to 2001 in the USA.[1],[8]

Wicca
The American Religious Identification Survey gives an average annual growth of 143% / 11,454 for the period 1990 to 2001 (8,000→134,000 - U.S. data / similar for Canada & Australia) [1],[8]

One easy step. The outdoor movie type. Watch from your car. No wonder the world is in bad shape.

I don't believe in them at all myself.

Hope you and your family have a great Christmas.

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Christianity. Those who argue that it is anything else is just looking at propoganda from their own religion meant to trick them in to thinking that their religion is so great.
