One of the first things is to stop romanticizing and glorifying the gang lifestyle. They are not cool ,they are not sexy ,they are killers and drug dealers. The lowest scum on earth next to a pedophile in stature. They need to be eliminated like the vermin they are .Every time I see or hear that low life style propagated by videos and rap music it makes me nauseated. This isn't play acting its real life .The gangs of all races are equality as horrendous and we as citizens must support our law enforcement agency's and help to end their reign of terror. These criminals have become roll models for
inner city children all over the world. Some of theses gang members are 35 40 years old. They are simply criminals and they need to be disposed of.Support your law officers, report activities and most of all be a good parent and know what your kid is doing at all times.Stop this glorification of vermin.
Bone crusher in a way it does have to do with immigration. The gangs that are a great danger now are made up of illegal aliens and legal immigrants alike. The MS-13 and Latin Kings are two of theses gangs. They are vicious and have large illegal alien memberships.
rabidchip..I understand your answer and it was good to hear about it from your point of view.We need to listen to all opinions not just the ones we agree with.

It is unfortunate that so many people today die because of gang violence but....and this is going to make me really unpopular....I used to be in an organization back in Ireland that some people here may refer to as a gang and I can tell you form experience. This is something that dates so far back that it can not be stopped. It may be that some innocent blood is shead but most of the people that die are other people such as my self at one time that made a decision to live a certain life style that in the end will either get you killed or put up. (incarcerated)
I feel bad for people caught in crossfire it was not their intent to be in the middle but a reality of society is that organized crime is sometimes the only way out of a desperate situation. It is the only hand up you will receive and the draw is very powerful when you have nothing. It is instant family people that would die for you if you asked them only you never would because they are your best mates. People that know me here in the states would never know this of me I am just an average ordinary woman. i work I pay my bills and I go on. But back home I was feared and if I wanted something I got it. Another rebel catholic with a death wish. You want to end something that can seen way back in biblical times good luck with that.

There are multiple reasons for the gang problem. First it is taught the gang members are seeking a family structure. That may be true for some but I have found that most of today's gang members are generational. Other gangs form for economic reasons.
The economic reasons are two fold. First they join simply as an easy way to make money to survive. The second reason is to support their drug habit.
I have also noticed in smaller communities gangs form so they can emulate the larger city youth. Now the above reasons are not all of them but I have found them to be the top five reasons.

The gov't should create a covert "death squad", consisting of people with military and law enforcement and intelligence experience, and take them out group by group. Yes, this might also sound like a gang operation, but this gang would be for the benefit of all honest citizens. I know for a fact that these death squads exist in other countries. Keep in mind, this could be done covertly, and not interfere with public business and the only ones that are going to miss these thugs, (and I do feel sorry for them) will be their relatives, no one else. This might sound drastic, but these gangs have put us all against a wall, and its time to fight back. Keep one very important think in mind, these thugs do not care about you, they do not care about your children, they only care for themselves and even that is questionable.

It is a hard thing to deal with. I hate to say this but, if they could all be gathered up and put into a large stadium with the doors closed and let loose to go ahead and kill each other then we would have less of them. We would still have to deal with the other gangs coming in from the border states though. The ones that survive would be put in prison for the rest of their lives or on death row.

Your questions are quite contradictory, you post about how to end gang violence, and then you ask how to hire a gang member (in other words: putting resources directly into gangs). And then you ask about why people go to your country, and then say you like immigrants. I don't get it? Is there two people posting with the same name or something?

many ought to be eleminated, and that asserts all of it, the guidelines are geared too plenty for the secure practices of the dirtbags rather of the sufferers. Its unhappy to think of that somebody needs to be in a gang to coach some self nicely worth, they should pay interest on doing stable deeds and then they are going to be recoginzed as stable doers rather of dirtbags who prey on the susceptible and the harmless, and specific all gangs prey on the susceptible, they're going to by no skill dare prey on somebody who can shelter themselves, in uncomplicated terms the susceptible because of the fact of this all gangs will continually be susceptible. and that i wll be better than satisfied to furnish any of them a undergo hug. xoxoxoxoxoxoxox

Gangs make me think of the phenom eon know as the herd instinct.
Religio-cultural group affiliation and practice is also greatly influenced by the human instinct to herd. While humans are complex, and thus can and do make rational (and irrational) choices counter to their current group identification, especially in adolescence, this is not the norm for most. The more typical result seen in human society is to stick with the 'herd' (cultural identification, ethnic identification, religious identification, tribal/clan identification, etc.) that one was born into and raised with. Furthermore, even when, say, the adolescent choice is to leave the cultural-religio herd they were raised in, they virtually always settle into a new herd rather than living life as a loner or hermit.
The herding instinct in humans can have both positive and negative effects.

Round em' all up. Put them into a large arena. Give them chains and knives. Last one standing wins. Then let a police sharpshooter take the winner out.
