He makes my dad work overtime and also sends him on personal jobs like collecting his(boss's) property's rent. My dad comes home very late almost everyday. I get no time to spend with him. My dad hates his boss.
My Q: What can my dad do, except leaving the job???

If your dad isn't happy, he needs to find a new job...We only allow people treat us the way they do, if we let them...Your dad needs to make this choice...

Making somebody work overtime isn't necessarily that unusual. Also, maybe collecting the property rent is a function of the job, particularly if the boss is also the owner of the business. Your dad can always leave the job, but the world of employment is full of bad jobs and lousy bosses.

He can discreetly begin looking for something else and then resign if and when something else comes along. That would be the most professional tact to take. Your dad should be a professional and a class act, even if the boss isn't.

thats his only choice! A Boss is a very powerfull person, and can do near bout anything that want. Your Dad is not really in a position to change anything. Maybe have a meeting about it! thats about it!

There is one specific thing that I would recommend and I'd have to speak with you in order to do that. Where do you guys live at? I have IM and we should talk later. What do you think?
