Icicle lights are both a "series" and a "parallel" connection.

The hanging strands (of one, two, or three lights each) are parallels - this means that if one of the lower ones is out, the long part of the string will stay lit.

However, the first one in each string is in series - which means that if the bulb is burned out or missing, the entire string will be "out".

Since you've connected multiple strings of lights, the problem is the same ... just a longer trail. I'd start with the string furthest from the outlet: disconnect it, and see if the rest light up. If all the rest light up, check the one you disconnected for bad bulbs. If all the rest remain dark, reconnect and proceed to the next closest. Make the disconnection - if everything back to the socket lights, you've found the bad string. Otherwise, keep repeating until you find the problem child.

Hmmm ... just thought of second possible explanation.
Did you have wet (i.e. rain or snow) between the last day it worked and the first day it doesn't? You could possibly have burned out a string (or several strings) by not waterproofing the socket connections between strands. Or you might have accidentally nicked the string insulation with one of your clamps/nails, and now you've got a dead string. Both of these are because moisture got inside the insulation and resulted in a effective short circuit of the string (or strings). In either case, you're going to need enough strings to replace the "bad" ones.

You might have a shortege in one of the light strands. Check your bulbs to one of them might be out causing the others to go out. The sam thing happened with my christmas lights.

sometimes if one bulb is loose or out, the whole strand shuts down.
