Anybody know about Rome : Total War?

How many factions can you unlock?
Without cheating, i have now got 6 factions, it that it or is there more to come??

A vision of the Virgin Mary forecast seven pillars of Rome.But as for total war I doubt it,as the atom bomb although hated by all, is the ultimate weapon and if used, would destroy both attacker and defender.666 is supposed to be the ruler of the dark side,but that is not now, or our lifetime. .

I've taken over the World in R:TW and have unlocked ten factions if I recall correctly, but I can't recall which ones were/weren't playable off the top of my head.

Apparently the R:TW mod Rome: Total Realism is supposed to be very interesting, and if/when I ever get bored of Medieval Total War 2 I'll give that a try. It apparently offers 17 fully playable factions, and more realistic game play.

Gaul
Britannia
Germania
Greek Cities
Selucid Empire
Carthage (Elephants!)
Parthia
Egypt
