Sure why not? Then when someone reaches over to take something off your desk they get poked by the cactus.

I would have gone with a goldfish but my boss said no live animals so I have a plant. Its actually his and I'm babysitting it while he's wintering in the South. It would make you look smarter if you had a Birch tree but what do I know???

Uh, I wouldn't think so. You reach over to shake someone's hand (or vice versa), ploop!: instant pain.
