For about 3 years, I battled chronic foot odor. I would was my feet at least 3 times a day. Tried sprays, powders, creams, etc... Constantly threw away shoes, socks, etc.. and then one day it just went away as quickly as it came and I have enjoyed about 3 more years of odor free feet. Well... It's BACK!!! I want to get rid of this thing. I know it's a fungus, but nothing over the counter seems to even work in the slightest. I spray my shoes etc... I cannot take my shoes off in public like this. Thanks.

Two natural things that seem to help; vingear, soak your feet in apple cider vinegar for 5 minutes a day, dry well. Also, arm and hammer baking soda as a foot powder. Both worked well for my husband.

There are approximately 250,000 sweat glands in each pair of feet that release nearly a cup of moisture every day.
Some people perspire a lot at their feet but I'm not sure how it could just disappear and come back again like your case.

There're some ways you can try
Soak foot in vinegar water.
Avoid suade leather.
Seek for shoes that can breath and can be washed and wash them every week. (i'm not sure about men..women have more choices than men do)
If cannot find a washable shoes, pour dehumidifier into the shoes at the end of the day and leave it inside untill the next use.
Wear alternate shoes every day.
Use sandals at office and air shoes under the table.
My friend washes her shoes with anti-bacterial & disinfectatnt cleaner and rinse well. That helps get rid of the smell for a day. Just have to keep doing it everyday.

Just hope the following natural remedies I found in a web can help.

Apple cider vinegar To control the odor, soak your feet several times a week in one-third cup of vinegar added to a small pan of warm water.

Alum Purchase some alum in the spice section of your supermarket. Mix one teaspoon with one or two gallons of water in a container, and soak your feet for 30 minutes; rinse with clear water; repeat after four days. If you do this once a month it will eliminate foot odor. Courtesy James H. Mary.

Antiperspirant Spray the bottom of your feet with an antiperspirant. This will stop the wetness, and, hopefully, the cause of the odor. Note: if you also have cracked skin it may be cleared up, too, but the antiperspirant may irritate the skin.

Baking soda Sprinkle baking soda inside your shoes to absorb moisture and odors.

Radishes Juice about two dozen radishes, add 1/4 teaspoon of glycerine, and put in a squirt or spray-top bottle. Use as an underarm deodorant or to reduce foot odor.

Soap Wash your feet daily with soap (an antibacterial soap is preferable). Make sure you dry your feet and toes thoroughly. This will get rid of dead skin where the bacteria may be growing.

Tea Boil a quart of water and add 5 tea bags. After the water cools, soak your feet for 30 minutes. The tannin in the tea is an astringent, which will prevent your feet from perspiring.

Zinc Take a zinc supplement, or make sure you are getting at least 15 milligrams in your multi-vitamin. This remedy should reduce or eliminate the odor within a week or two. If it starts coming back, increase the amount to 100 milligrams for a few days. The zinc may make the skin more resistant to the bacteria causing the odor. Don't take more than 15 mg. of zinc for more than a week or two without medical supervision as high levels of zinc can interfere with the absorption of copper.

Zinc oxide Find a foot deodorant containing zinc oxide and herbs.

Good luck

there are a few things you can do, will definitely help your problem. It Helps my son who plays soccer and has the same problem and he's only 12. So my tips ...
- keep your nails short
- always brush your nails at the end of your bath with a nail brush.
- be sure to wash between your toes - use antibacterial soap
- twice weekly, soak your feet for 10-15 mins in a vinegar & warm water and soap solution.
- change your socks every day or often
- Use an antibacterial spray in your shoes every other day

These work really well for my son. If nothing helps, then you should see a podiatrist

Go to local health food store & buy a liquid called "Chlorophyll". It is sweet tasting & not offensive at all. Take 1 spoonful daily. Cures bad breath; body odor; foot odor; garbage disposal odor; you name it! You'll be right as rain within a few days. Very healing & detoxifying on the body, as well.

Soak all of your socks in colloidal silver (google it). Let them dry. Buy new shoes. Wear your new treated socks with your new shoes. Silver will act as an antibiotic/antifungal and will get rid of your stink feet.
