I was in the supermarket the other day trying to find a simple tube of toothpaste w/o whitening and was shocked. Finally I found aquafresh, but like Mentadent and ExtremeClean are now only being sold with whitening. Have toothpaste companies converted with dentist's for more $ by selling us products that will eventually eat away the enamel on our teeth?

Yea by my own personal experience. I used to use pearl drops w/ whitening and then got to noticing a change in my teeth. I went to my dentist and he told me the whitening was eating my enamle away, so I immediatly quit using it. I just don't understand though why there pulling regular toothpastes off the market. They should still continue to offer both kinds, but there not. What are people suppose to do if all the regular toothpastes continue being pulled. Lose our teeth...hmm?

Fads come and go and that is what this is.
Do not give too much credit to good thinking here, companies only make what they can sell.People are into this as a new way and it will run its course:do not fret.
Regular toothpaste will remain for sale for the level headed souls.

Recall if you will,New Coke:you cannot find it because it bombed out of the market place. The one thing that remained was Classic Coke, because that is what people want.
It was renamed in one of the biggest blunders of all business history.
Companies blunder on a regular basis.

If you read the labels carefully, you will find that pretty much NO toothpastes actually contain caustic whitening chemicals. "Whitening" is a cosmetic claim and, therefore, it is not regulated by anyone. I like Crest Pro-Health and, in spite of the labeling, there are no additives that are specifically for whitening. (No peroxide products, for instance...) The hype behind "whitening" is just that ANYTHING that cleans junk off of your teeth can be said to contribute to whitening them.

I learn an editorial the opposite day and it mentioned that Blanx is the nice. You should buy iy in Superdrug, Boots, and plenty of supermarkets. Its approximately £6.ninety nine and the testers mentioned that they rather spotted a change after handiest 3c days use. Its only a toothpaste however it seems that its exceptional.xx

I buy regular ole Colgate at my supermarket whenever I need it. Its always there. Its at the bottom below all the fancy stuff but its always there. I dont think there is some conspiracy going on in the toothpaste/Dentist arena. Dont be an Antidentite.

Can you prove this? Everyone has a flag to wave until they have to prove it then they fall to the way side.

The manufacturers are going to put out what the public is buying.
