I had a boyfriend of almost 5 years. I think he still loves me, but he has another girlfriend and I like another guy. He says after I'm 17 and move down there to go to college maybe, he wants to go back out with me. I really do still love him, but should I? Why do I feel like I can't be without him? Are relationship was so exciting and he waited for me to have sex. I have never had sex with him and we still had feelings for each other.

You'll be okay. Separation anxiety from a long term relationship that ended well is a hard thing to get over. It's a safe space that you are leaving behind as you change your own life and transition to college. If you have never had sex with him then he might also be still wanting to be your first sexual experience knowing that you will probably most certainly be doing this with someone you'll know for a far shorter time in college. This is perhaps the kind of relationship that can end and then be restarted later on with no problem so long as you both stay in contact and honest with each other, but for now you should think of moving on.

if he has to wait until your 17 to want you back, means he wants you be legal age to have sex. Get away from this guy. He wants to keep you dangling, cut him off all together. You do not have to take second seat to another girl, he just wants something lined up incase his other relationship fails. Maybe sex is all he wants, the what. Do not dump the guy you like now for him.

If you can just turn love on and off, like it sounds like your trying to do, then you never loved to begin with. You can't help your feelings, it's how you deal with your feelings that decide how you will act. Your asking if you should still persue a relationship with this guy...not if you should love him or not. You have already said you did. Couldn't hurt to talk to him once you get there.

If your in love you don't date other people. Give yourself a chance to meet some other people. Five years is a long time and it's understandable that you still have feelings for him, but that doesn't mean you need to be together.

ok well girl,this is what love is.its really hard to think about it considerin we live hectic lifes.you love him not cause,you have been with him for so many years,you love him cause,you actually love the kid,by that i mean,you want,need and have to have him,or your head will drive ya nuts to find out how he is.to break it to you simple,its love .about loving him just cause,he wants sex,makes him well pretty lame if he loves another girl.the thing is,with people you really love,nomatter how bad it gets,you still gon be beside them to the end.adn leaving you for 2 years till your 17 means he dont love you as much as you love him.kids nowdays,aint gotta clue about love,just flirt. well,if you do have any other problems later on,send me an email adn i'll help you out with it,k.

In a couple years time you will be going on with your life.. Your feelings will diminish and I wouldn't bank my money on an empty promise like that.
You move on in your life because it is necessary for you to keep growing. each relationship should teach you something about yourself and life. You will have outgrown him in a couple years... Don't take 2 steps back. keep going forward and keep growing....
