The next time the dog licks your girl friends face tell her not to let the dog lick her because you had just stopped the dog from eating her tampons. Let her think it just happened and you are not aware of the other times the dog has eaten them. That is just to save her from embarrassment. But you have to tell her or it will go on forever, and once that dog has tasted blood she will stop at nothing for more so only a closed door or a latched lid will keep the two apart.

A lot of dogs do this and It is embarrasing! How about a room full of guests and rover drags a pad out of the Loo and plays with it! Uggggh There is a lot of Hormones attached to that and It does drive animals crazy. Some women have been attacked by animals during their period! get the trash put out quicker!

If her Mum didn't tell her how to dispose of them properly then looks like its down to you buddy. What does she say when it happens? She is surely embarrassed never mind you?!!! Feed the damn dog too! Nobody should be that hungry.

That's pretty disgusting.

While the menstrual fluids will not harm your pet (they are probably quite nutritious - for a dog), the synthetic fibres used to make the tampon can't be good for it.

Tell your girlfriend to dispose of them properly for the sake of your dog's health.

P.S. The dog we had when I a kid used to eat horseshit. Dogs are gross!

well dog's do have different teast of thing's but i never heard of this one before. I would feel that telling your girlfriend to "please put your tampons in some newspaper and then dispose it will ne nicer" and saver of the dog's health.
Its no your dog's fault so dont yell at the dog for doing that! Talking to your girlfriend would help it much better. (unless you want to dispose it yourself, which would be really yakke)

This happens to me all the time. My periods are REALLY HEAVY and BLOODY and sometimes my tampons fall out without me noticing it - (I wear tampon mini ones). I only notice it when I see blood dripping from the places have I sat on. When it happens at my boyfriend's place. The dog won't go near them, so I make my boyfriend pick them up. He's very obliging.
He always disposed of my sanitary wear when I leave them lying around the bathroom - he's quite an obssessive cleaner.

Disgusting...obviously the dog has more idea of cleaning up the rubbish. I would imagine any self respecting girl would flush them down the loo not leave em lying around as if they were a work of art to be looked at.....

And why wont the dog get any tea? because you knew she was leaving them lying around so your just as bad. Call yourself a dog lover....you could at least give him a clean one.

Yes, you should tell her to dispose of them more thoroughly. It'll be a much more embarrassing situation for her if you don't tell her. But be gentle, say it as if your main concern is for the health of the dog, don't let her see how much it grosses you out.

Yes. Tell your girlfriend. It wouldn't be a good thing for your dog to get a liking for the taste of human blood.

I'm surprised she hasn't already noticed, what with all the bits of string stuck in its teeth!!

That aside - she really needs to brush up on the correct disposal of blood contaminated waste.
