Is there any proof that the Name allah was that of a moon god. What is the significance of this in the light of the claims of islam that allah is the same as Jehovah the creator. Is it really the same god or is it some fake, are we all being duped?

People who get angry at other religions sometimes make up nonsense to show that anger.

Allah is an Arabic word for G-d. YOu can find the same word for G-d in the Christian Old Testament in the book of Job, which is the onlt book in the OT named for a non-Jewish person. THere it is pronounce El-oah, but comes from the exact same root - meaning HIghest or Most.

Among Sephardi Jews (Jews from Asia, North Africa, and Spain) when they translate the Bible into their native Arabic, everywhere it says Elokim in Hebrew, they translate as Allah.

I don't know the history of the name Allah. All I've read is that it is the name that the angel told Muhammad was God's real name.

In the Hebrew bible, written in Hebrew, God told Moses His name was I AM (YHVH). In English is Yahweh. It was translated into Greek and then Latin where it became God. The word 'god' itself means 'deity' which loosely means 'a supernatural force that is worshiped in various religions'.

I, personally, believe that it was Moses that was told by God Himself His name. Yet it really it's a name. God is love. God is Creator. God is all. He always was and always will be. I don't think He needs a name. Names are made by humans to give distanction to things. God doesn't need distinction. He just is. (I AM)

The term "Allah" simply means "the [one] god", implying a single Almighty deity reminiscient of the Judeo-Christian "Yahweh" / "Jehovah". However, it is significant that "Allah" is clearly NOT a personal name, while the Hebrew Tetragrammaton clearly *IS* a personal name for Almighty God.

It's not exactly wrong to call the Almighty by the impersonal "God", just as it's not wrong to call one's offspring "Child". Faithful men of the Holy Scriptures used both "God" and a form of "Jehovah" when they referred to and addressed the Almighty. However, the term "Allah" seems intended specifically to reject Judeo-Christian spiritual heritage.

If we want a familiar and close relationship, it makes sense to use the personal name of someone we love. The Scriptures encourage us to use God's personal name.

The Hebrew name “Yahweh” (or “Yehowah”) does seem to accurately pronounce the divine name. Just as the Hebrew name “Yeshua” (or “Yehoshua”) is translated into “Jesus” in English, the Hebrew name “Yahweh” is translated into “Jehovah” in English.

The important thing is to use God’s personal name in whatever language you speak, rather than insisting upon the impersonal! The name “Yahweh” is certainly preferable to the non-name “God” or “Lord”, especially if you speak Hebrew. If you speak English, feel free to use the name "Jehovah".

(Psalms 83:18) That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth

(John 17:26) [Jesus said] I have made your name known to them and will make it known, in order that the love with which you loved me may be in them

no nothing calls the moon god !!
Allah is an Arabic word which means god and there is only one god which (Muslims , Christians , Jews ) worship him.

he is the creator of the whole universe .

Muslims believe in Jesus as he is the Messiah and a prophet but not the god or son of the god plus the last prophet Mohamed peace be up on him and all prophets before (Moses,Abraham,Joseph,David,etc..)

THE IDEA OF ALLAH WAS COPIED FROM THE ANCIENT ARABS WHO LINKED MOON WORSHIP WITH THE TERM ALLAH. MOHOMED BORROWED THIS CONCEPT FROM THEM.
