I am going to assume that what you mean by "ghost" is the spirit of someone who has "passed over".
Yes, I believe some people do not pass over into the next world right away, because of left over issues, and they sometimes can be felt by others who are sensitive to this kind of energy.
I am not Christian, and therefore do not place my beliefs in something a book says, but my own personal experiences. I have always believed that personal experience speaks volumes as opposed to what can be found in a book.
The need to convince someone that something exists is not important, rather what is important is what you believe, and what you experience.
The hardest thing in the world is trying to convince someone of something when they have made up their minds not to be convinced, and no amount of proof or even a verse from a book is going to make them change their minds.
Go with what you believe, what you have experienced, and allow others to believe what ever they want. It is not important to make them believe in anything, it is only important to believe what you believe.

Check out 1 Samuel 28:7-19 and Revelation 6:9-11. Oh, and it does not say that it was an evil spirit impersonating Samuel. If it was the Bible would have made it a point to say it. Also try watching or taping Sci-Fi "T.A.P.S" Ghost Hunters. I've seen some pretty freaky stuff on there. I've also had personal experience with the paranormal. We took a picture of what looked like a ghost flying around my head.

I'm sure the Bible isn't the right source for truth on most sources. I doubt it, there's no conclusive evidence, but I'd like to believe.

Only idiots believe in ghosts.
they are figments of imagination, nothing more.
If anyone had any proof (and by proof I don't mean videos of chairs moving by fishing line) they'd have shown it by now.
Besides, how can a non-corporeal entity, affect the material world? The answer is; they can't.
Ergo, they do not exist. Period.
