They usually either post the current on a label. However, if that isn't there, check the label for its power (in Watts). Then, divide the Power by the voltage (18V) to find the current.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was as low as 3 or 4 amps.

These saws operate off a very high speed motor geared down significantly to produce the saw output. They are pretty efficient.
