You don't Have to join it. It's a pre-military school where you can go to learn about procedures and such, it will certainly help you in the future, hell I would do it. there are some cool peeps to meet in rotc, but as with everything there are some bad experiences, you have to make the most of it. It will help you get into the military later.

ROTC stands for Reserved Officers Training Corps. As far as I know it is a one-year course to militarily train college students. ROTC makes the government sure that when the time comes that she needed someone to protect her interests and sovereignty she can call someone. After taking ROTC you will be given a certificate and you'll become a reserved member of the armed forces.

You have the rights not to join the ROTC. You can join some civic trainings like CWTS (Civic Welfare Training Service) or LTS (Literacy Training Service) as a replacement in ROTC. You dont need anything to enroll CWTS or LTS.

ROTC is training to help u further advance in the military. if your school doesn't have one just ask the recruiter. no u don't have to join it but if u do it will get u more money and promotions faster.

ROTC stands for reserve officer's training corp. It is available in the high school and college levels. NO, you do not have to participate in it, it is voluntray.
