I havent got much sleep since I got him, please help.

An eight-week old kitten is like a new baby - you don't TEACH them much of anything, they teach you that the very young and dependent creature needs a lot of special consideration.

People are just not prepared for this no matter how you try to stress to them that TWO kittens is the way to go because they take care of some of each other's needs so that you are not the sole provider of emotional support.

I know exactly how you feel. I solved my kitten's night forays by simly confining him to his pet carrier (kennel) for the night (still inside my room). He meowed piteously for a few minutes but subsided when I covered the carrier with a towel and turned off the light. I let him out as soon as I woke up in the morning. This lasted only 2 weeks and by then, he got the idea that when I turn off the light at night and get into bed - he has to sleep too. Both my cats sleep when I do now.

I hope this might work for you and your kitty.

Haha. I had this same problem.. and lately I've been hearing more and more people having this problems, so it must just be a kitten thing. My 10 and 14 week old kittens would do the same thing, and eventually they just stopped. I tried numerous things, but I realized that the more attention I gave them for meowing at me at such a herendous time, the more they got rowled up and disturbed me more. Eventually I just learned to ignore them, and they stopped... so stick it out!! It probably took my kitties a week or two to get the hint.. but don't worry, it'll get better!

There are ways to trian a kitten, if you don't want your cat to be by you, put it in another room before going to bed where it has enough food, toys and toilet facilities. If it meows ignore it, as it will eventually understand, no means no. Baby animals are just like human babies. My kitten still sucks on my ear lobe when he is thirsty and thinks im given it milk.

good luck

he's probable enjoying. that's what little kittens do with their brothers and sisters too. each so often they get in those frisky moods and play too tough nevertheless. My cat gets in those moods too, often whilst he's drained yet struggling with off sleep like a cranky toddler. in simple terms spray the cat with the spray bottle whilst it bites you and it will start to get the assumption. yet another element that I used to do whilst my cat replaced right into a kitten is provide him an afternoon out. Sounds completely loopy, even though it works! My cat used to bounce on my head collectively as i replaced into dozing then chew me so i might positioned him contained in the bathing room and close him in there for a jiffy. Then i might pass take him out, and if he did it back ideal away, i might positioned him back. They study with out postpone! yet another element you would be able to desire to do is attempt to redirect the biting onto a filled toy. This each so often works. My mom has this situation along with her cat and the sole way she will distract the cat whilst it gets in a biting temper is to grant it a take care of. in my view, i think of it incredibly is worthwhile undesirable habit, yet she says it incredibly is the sole element that works for her. Oh, another element that the vet stated is to gently flick the cat on the nostril if he bites. that's style of a spanking to a newborn, yet be careful to no longer do it annoying adequate to incredibly harm your kitty. they're naughty at this age, are not they!
