well I am an atheist, but I can tell you I don't think any religion is worth either dying for or killing for.

Almighty God Jehovah [ Exodus 6;3] gave Abraham the ten commandments. One of them said...Thou shall NOT Kill...
This should preclude anyone putting themselves in a position where they might be asked to kill someone..for example, the armed services. Of course it does not and wars continue.
God does NOT approve.
(Micah 4:3) And he will certainly render judgment among many peoples, and set matters straight respecting mighty nations far away. And they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. They will not lift up sword, nation against nation, neither will they learn war anymore.

I am a Pagan. I would not kill for my religion as the only guideline in my religion is not to harm others.

I am Tianice.
My Faith (not religion as religions teach ideas) Teaches us not to kill or in any way harm another person. I do not believe in killing as an answer to any known thing. In my faith it states "to kill a man is to kill your soul" I will not kill.

God is love!
He said: Don't kill
His Son said: For all who draw the sword will die by the sword" (Matthew 26:52
Bible says: (Isaiah 2:4)...He will judge between the nations
and will settle disputes for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not take up sword against nation,
nor will they train for war anymore.

I hope it helps...

What religion is it that asks you to kill on its behalf?

NO!

There would never be any need to do so, and I would find it abhorrent.

People who do not believe as I do are not threatened or punished.
There's also no need for us to proselytize or convert.

I"m Pagan (small-w wiccan).
