Yes the bible was written by man, inspired by god. The problem with the bible is semantics. What it means all depends on the person reading it. It's not straightforward and is written using a lot of symbolism and metaphors. The fantasy tales you are talking about don't necessarily mean how it reads. (depending again on person reading it). Being swallowed by a whale could actually represent all of your problems catching up with you. Facing the lion, could mean facing your problems head on. David and Goliath, size doesn't matter if you have the courage to face your fears. It is all metaphorical. Some people just take things word for word and don't actually read what the bible is saying. Including yourself.

Yes, it is written by man by the the Holy Spirit who gave the inspiration to man to write the Holy Scriptures. Many measures and efforts have been taken to destroy the Bible from this earth but they have never been successful. That proves that God who revealed knows very well how to keep it protected. I challenge all who say that the Bible has changed to prove it to me with evidence. Hundreds of scientist have studied it and have confirmed its clarity and what has been written.
The prophecies made in the Bible are being fulfilled in our very day. These are some of the most amazing things and confirm who is the author of this book. The very creator of this world knows what is going to happen tomorrow and the coming days. He does not predict it like a psychic but knows it!

The Bible is God's Word that was recorded by man. It is sacred, and it's an offence to change it, according to the last verses of Revelation. And the "fantasy" is being proved correct, according to archeology and science(but I won't get into that debate here!)
Anyway, I hope you have a very merry CHRISTmas!

If you do not believe in the Bible and God, why do keep posting questions about it here? Is it because you have doubts?
Btw, the Bible is written by man, inspired by God.

No.The Bible was writtem by forty writers over 1500 years. But it was authored by ALMIGHTY God.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17) All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17Â that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.
The prophecies in the Old Testament were proved true in the New Testament.
Example. When Babylon was overthrown by Cyrus. Cyrus was actually named 300 years before.
(Isaiah 44:28) the One saying of Cyrus, ‘He is my shepherd, and all that I delight in he will completely carry out’; even in [my] saying of Jerusalem, ‘She will be rebuilt,’ and of the temple, ‘You will have your foundation laid.’”
Isaiah was written in 732 B.C.E.
(Ezra 1:1-2) And in the first year of Cyrus the king of Persia, that Jehovah’s word from the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, Jehovah roused the spirit of Cyrus the king of Persia so that he caused a cry to pass through all his realm, and also in writing, saying: 2Â “This is what Cyrus the king of Persia has said, ‘All the kingdoms of the earth Jehovah the God of the heavens has given me, and he himself has commissioned me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
Ezra was written in 432 B.C.E.
The same job, rebuilding the temple...300 years apart. And he was named. Not a coincidence.

You're not really an atheist.
The stupid question, the misspelling, and grammar mistakes pretty much prove that you're a dim-witted Christian in disguise.
Stop making us atheists look like idiots.

Tell me, Mr Clever, for what purpose would those "tales" be there, if not for the Truth to set you free?
