I have done this extensively and am interested in hearing about other's experiences. Was it under hypnosis or in meditation (or other method)? What did you learn from that life?

Please don't post if you don't believe in this. I don't need to know that this is not in accordance with your beliefs. We can't all agree on everything.

I had a regression done through meditation, guided by a professional regressionist (and psychotherapist) - who happens to be an author of five books: Charlotte Fielden.

The past life I revisited was one in Ancient Rome 300 BC. I was a fifteen year old boy whose father was a Military Man. Whether he was a general or not, was unclear. We think he was. During that lifetime, I rejected my father's wishes that I soldier in his army; I was impassioned with landscaping. Apparently, I would watch the slaves groom our property, and became fascinated with the artistry of it. I would frequently take walks through the forests as well, because of my love of animals and nature.

This is where the regression took a tragic turn. I began to envision myself arguing with my father. The next thing I knew, I saw myself in an arena, surrounded by a pack of lions. I was mauled by them, on my father's order; he had me executed because I brought shame to the family. He was a public figure, and as such, he couldn't have condoned such insolence from a son. Very harsh, and almost unbelievable. But it is in line with the Ancient Roman practices.

Anyhow, the significance this regression had to my life was amazingly obvious. In this life, I have a father who is a public figure, and I, for the better part of my life, struggled to see things his way. I am a writer. We had two very different approaches to life; that has all changed now. We have a very healthy relationship, and I'm certain that having the regression done, changed the way I approached my life - and most importantly, my father.

I have done past-life regression on my own with dream work, and meditation. The only past life I have seen extremely clearly is one as a man in the 1930's I was 45-50 years old. A lawyer, in the Mid west area of the US. My last trial was a divorce trial that turned into a murder trial, and I was able to get my client, who was the husband, and murderer, off on reasonable doubt. The only thing about my name that I know of is that people from my dreams of this called me Manning. I think it was a last name, I have never found anthing like this in newspapers or on the internet but have searched for it. I know that I died in 1962. I've gone to the Akasha? Library during an open ended guided meditation/Journey. I found the history of my family, and myself. Everyone in it was a teacher. Not sure what that meant, but interesting none the less. Wouldn't mind hearing what you have to say, email on yahoo anniwhoozle@yahoo.com don't have IM, just email.

I have gone through a couple different methods. One was through hypnosis, another was through a shamanic journey and a final one was through meditation. Each method brings up different levels of information. With the hypnosis, it helped because another was there to guide and also help bring back out of the past life if it was too traumatic. The shamanic journey is great because you can do it for yourself on your own time, same as meditation.

Most of the lives that have come up have had to do with my fear of speaking the truth because in past lives I had been severly punished for speaking the truth, one where I as hung led to a fear in this lifetime of having anything touching my neck too closely. Once I learned about that lifetime, I no longer have that fear and can wear tight necklaces and have my fiance touch my neck without panic.

I have, I used an auto-hypnotic method and did this by myself.I saw a lot of images of different time-periods throughout history, ancient Egyptian, ancient Briton, 1940's, and had a truely amazing experience. Whether it was objective reality or not, is open to interpretation.

There are many people on here that think it's bull malarkey though.
