My guy friend has recently taken a break from his girlfriend (mutual agreement between them both) due to the fact he wants kids now and she doesnt know if she ever wants them. The break started 13th October 2006 (they are re-discussing their relationship after xmas) and they met up for drinks about 3 weeks after he realised that he was quite happy to forfeit kids for her and wanted to get back. He bought this up when met again a week later and she said she didnt want to talk about it. He has since asked her if he can go to her 30th birthday and she said "no". Im not any good at relationships so what do you think this all means? Does she want to get back with him? Has anyone had a similar experience?

no it sounds to me like she doesn't want to get back with him. maybe its best that he backs off before he gets even more hurt and moves on with his life.
he can still meet someone else, have an amazing relationship and have kids like he wants.

sounds like she has been scared off, i am never a big fan of 'breaks' in relationships. it seems like a way of ending things without actually having an ending.
i wish him and her luck, he will find someone else who will want to have children. what wouldbe a great shame is if he gives up his idea for children and then regrets it later in life. although men are lucky and dont have the biological clock thing going on.
