I only stopped because my boyfriend helped me and also a few very good friends helped me because they didn't want to see me sad and miserable anymore. But just think though...one cut to deep you my be saying goodbye to your family/friends/pets and not even really mean to. Life isn't all that bad hun and i am sure there is a brighter future ahead. just please get some help! honestly though if you need someone i can try and help

How You Stop All Depends On The Lenth Of Time Youve Been Doing It And How Much Youre Addicted To It. I Say A School Counselor Wouldnt Help You Should Find One Specialized It Dealing With That Kind Of Thing. But You Have To Be Truly Ready To Give It Up Completely And Most Likely You Start Again But You Have To Put Up The Fight To Beat It. It Can Be A Dangerous Addiction. But With Out The WillPower To Give It Up You Cant Overcome It. I Am Still A Cutter Cuz Im Not Ready To Give It Up But I Know When I Am Ready Ill Stop.

I agree that you should talk with your parents about it and then seek professional help. You don't want to be a cutter all of you life, and you usually cut to get some releif from something that is brothering you. So you might ask yourself what is bugging you so much. That you need to cut. Cause you will fine that cutting,
ends up just having to cut more to get the relief from the problem your are running from. It gets so you have to cut more, and more , cause the relief from cutting just don't last as long as it did at one time. So talk to you parents and see about getting some professional help out side of the school system. Hope this helps.

Sweetheart, I've been there, done that. You should tell your parents first, or have the counselor tell them. Your parents may not understand at first, but they will eventually. Another suggestion is just to ask your parents if they could get you a counselor outside of school, and just tell them you're not feeling well emotionally, and you think it may help. That way you don't have to tell them straight-forward. My counselor has helped me out a lot, and they are VERY trustworthy. If you want to talk about it, send me a message. ;) Even I wonder why I cut, too. You aren't alone.

HUGS to you! I'm so sorry you feel this badly! :( Please talk to someone you trust. Your parents? your friend's parents? a teacher? counselors at school are generally good.
Stop hurting yourself OK? You aren't insane, you're in pain. It is easier to hurt on the outside when you feel nothing inside...but trust me, 20 something years later, that catches up to you. Find help now and you can stop hurting your outside and start feeling good on the inside. It's there, trust me...just buried, that's all, but it's there.

Please tell someone, especially your parents. If not, a counselor. You do need help, doesn't mean you're insane but you could possibly have a chemical imblance that needs to be corrected by medicine.
Please get some help.

why do you cut yourself, from what i know most people who 'cut' do it because of emotional pain from childhood that they do not know how to deal with and never tell anyone ie being raped. you need to talk about problems and not bottle them up.
