Percoset is half tylonol and half percodan.
Vicodin is "pure" vicodin...

I use 250mg to relieve back pain (deterriorating discs), and it seems to work well. One or two times a day.

I would go with the vicodin, and if that doesnt work, get some Cough Syrup! (Its got oxycontin in it!!)-->I never knew this until my Daughter was prescribed this drug and the druggist asked me if I wanted cough meds for her, and I said "NO" "I want whats prescribed", and he informed me that it was the basic ingredient for all cough meds now... hmmm Well, I didnt know what oxycontin was, and I found its a powerful drug, so, thats probably why people use this for getting "high" now.

I wish you well..

Percocet is stronger than Vicodin. Percocet lasts longer. Both are effective pain relieve if taken right. But both are highly addictive.

I would not suggest Vicodin. It has never done anything to relieve pain for me.

After a minor surgery back in 2001, I took ibuprofen, which helped more than anything else they could have prescribed. My father, though, had major surgery that same year, and took Ultram.

It depends on what your body responds to best. If you can handle taking Ibuprofen, though, eight-hundred milligrams should ease the pain. Take it on a full stomach.

From personal experience, Vicodin does nothing to relieve my pain. It just makes me restless and irritable.
