Look on the internet for one of thoses sites where you can upload your photo and try different hairstyles and colours and then decide depending on what suits you.

look in magazines and internet for people with a simlar complexion to you, then you'll know if it'll suit you, also, if you're going to a salon, always take a picture, it helps so much when you're trying to describe a colour or cut!
this winter alot of our clients are going for chocolate browns and aurburn, rich shades are lovely, good luck!

i use a henna dye from Lush. they come in 4 colours, caca brun, caca marron, caca noir and caca rouge. they are messy but its so much better for the hair and you can re-apply whenever you want.
