I know this is a hard time for you at the moment, but the best thing would be to go to a church.Your personal relationship with God is SO important. When you become tuned into him you will feel him near and you will know that he is strengthening you.I'm not saying that there wont be times where you feel alone because there will be but that's where faith has to come in.
If you go to a church there will not only be God to help you through your problems but the church people will pray for you and support you.It is important that you don't try to handle this on your own and get as much support as you can.Have you got a partner to talk this over with?
I will pray for you.Never forget that God is always with us,even though we don't feel him sometimes.xx

Ask any farmer this to check this out to be true. When he plants a seed of corn in the ground, the seed has to die before it grows into a healthy corn plant. You are being refined through fire to get out the junk in your life. Lift up your head and rejoice for God is near and helping you at this very minute. You will know when the time is right to celebrate the victory over your problem. Just do not forget to thank God when that happens. Thank Him everyday because things CAN be worse for you. You may feel broken down now and all alone but you never are. I have been like you many many times and the Lord has always came through for me. It is NOT going to happen until God says it will, and you will be much stronger and a wiser person after this passes. If God be with you, who can stand against you. Satan was defeated on Calvary by Christ's dearth and ressurection. death's bar was removed and never more will life be taken away from us. We HAVE the VICTORY and have WON the war.

It is good that you are honest about only needing God when trouble comes. The thing is, sometimes we need to fall all the way down before we come back up again with the help of the Lord Jesus Christ.
My friend, please believe me when I say that He wants to help you, but His primary concern is the state of your soul - He loves you so much that He wants to make you His child. It is your choice whether you take up the offer or reject it.
I am not sure if the Lord will help you just while you have trouble - I know that He works all things to the good of those who love Him, so I know for sure that when I have troubles, He is there helping me out and I can rest in that fact.
Why not ask Him to be your Lord and Saviour my friend? Confess your wrong doings and ask Him to come and take over all your troubles. If He sees that you genuinely want Him in your life for good, I have no doubt that He will come and help you.

God helps those who helps themselves.
It just doesnt work by request only, try not to question your faith an never try an test it.
Believe that you have support and don't give up.
If things aren't changing quickly its because its because the issue is complex.
The longer you take considering a decision the better your judgement will be.
There's lots of places to turn, and loads on here that have the time an support to give you.
Stay strong, an when you can't do it for yourself do it for your kids.
An remember " after the darkest night comes the brightest day"
Peace an mental hugs dudet.

Yes honey, God is with you. I have felt like that before. God allows certain things to happen in our lives either because there is something that will come out of it...your enrichment. You have learned something from it. It teaches you something like patients...OR it is shouting loud and clear and you are resisting what God is steering you toward. For example...a woman, through no fault of her own, has a husband that turns to alcohol and becomes a wife beater and alcoholic. She prays every night for God to "fix" her husband. Years go by and her husband dies in a drinking and driving accident. The woman lives the rest of her life with peace in her life and dies a happy old woman at a ripe old age.
She goes to God and asks, "why didn't you answer my prayer about my husband being a drunk? What were you trying to teach me by him beating me?"
God responds..."I wasn't trying to teach you anything. I'm not the one that beat you and I'm not the one that tolerated a beating. I whispered to your heart many times that he would never change and that it was ok to leave him, but you were too scared. You needed to trust me. Eventually your husband took care of the issue himself by ending his own life by driving into a tree".
Long metaphor to explain a simple truth. Not every hardship is a lesson from God. Some hardships come about by others and some by ourselves. Just remember that God is close, loves you and wants you whole.

Me.....I have a group for those who have been abused or are in abusive relationships. If I am reading between the lines correctly I think you could use something like this group.
I think it is good that you are praying, but before asking something so specific, I would like to ask...do you belong to GOD? Oh, I do not mean in that everyone does because we were all created by GOD, I mean have you placed your trust in Jesus Christ for full payment for your sin? You see, without taking this "first step" God does not have to hear our prayers.
It is the "first step" to a right relationship with God and that is exactly what it is...a relationship as we are adopted into God's family as a joint heir with Jesus Christ.
Please check the links below for more information on this (this group is open to everyone, not just men)

If you broke your leg, would you turn to G-d to fix it? Or would you go to hospital, have the bones set, and wear a cast, until it healed?
If you saw someone hit by a car, would you wait for G-d to lift that person up, and heal him/her? Or would you ring for an ambulance, and let professionals take care of the pedestrian who was run down?
If you found you had cancer, would you wait, and let it get worse, while you prayed to G-d to heal you? Of course not. You would get the treatment you needed, and pray as well.
What is true of the body, is true of the mind, as well.
What is true of sickness of the body or mind, is true of situations, as well.
I am not suggesting you should stop reaching out to your G-d, because that will definitely help you.
If that is all you do, you are not going to get better. In my experience, the Divine expects to be met halfway. This means YOU have to take responsibility for your own well-being.
If you are surrounded with toxic people, who drain your spirit, and burden your life, find ways of getting away (and staying away) from them.
If you are trapped in a dead-end job/marriage/family, which makes you feel crushed and despairing, get OUT. It's not easy, but it is not as hard as it seems.
If your mind is whirling with troubles, and you are feeling too unstable to take action like that, the first thing you need is to TALK to a trained PROFESSIONAL counsellor about your situation and problems. If you feel the need, ALSO speak with your clergyperson of choice.
This might BE about your body, in the sense that your mental condition might be caused by a chemical imbalance in your brain. That is completely treatable, by a qualified psychiatrist. Even your GP might be willing to start you on some anti-depressants.
Pray all you like, but remember, none of the world's Deities helps people who don't even try to help themselves.
Find your own spiritual core, and draw strength from that, to make the changes you need, to heal your broken life. You and your G-d cannot do it alone. There are all sorts of support services available. Explore them.
Your chosen Deity will help you. But you have to do the legwork.
That's my two pence, but I lean toward the PRACTICAL side of things. Spirituality is good, but it doesn't prevent or fix problems.
