You can stimulate release of Dopamine by having sex, and by doing other cardiovascular exercises.

Dopamine is very much a happiness hormone. That's why most people feel so relaxed and happy after sex.

Dopamine is one of several neurotransmitters and works rather like adrenaline, affecting the processes in the brain that control emotional response and movement and also the ability to feel pain and pleasure. Dopamine is one of several neurotransmitters directly related to mental health problems. A shortage or an excess of these neurotransmitters are believed to be responsible for Depression, A.D.H.D., anxiety and mood disorder. When Dopamine is restricted in supply it can cause a deterioration in the ability to think rationally, as demonstrated in schizophrenia. An excess in the limbic system and not enough in the cortex can cause suspicion and possibly paranoia. These are the effects related to the frontal lobe of the brain. A shortage of dopamine can affect movement, as displayed by Parkinson’s Disease. Tyrosine is a nonessential amino acid synthesized from phenylalaline in the body. It is required to make serotonin, norepinephrine, epinephrine and dopamine, all of which regulate mood. It is involved in the production of melanin and also enkephalines which have pain-relieving effects in the body. There are drugs that effect dopamine, like amphetamines, which block the dopamine receptors. Dopamine stimulates the heart and increases the flow of blood to the organs.
