I eat less than 2000 calories a day and it's usually only 2 meals and a snack.

Doesn't seem you have a real weight problem yet but perhaps the weight is attached where you would rather not have it.

Weight and body fat content have more to do with what you eat than the amount of calories you consume.

In general avoid trans fats and High Fructose corn syrup. That will probably do the trick.

Try med - high intensity cardio ( walking or jogging) 30-60 min 4-5x a week. You pretty much have to workout every day, just alternate with light workout and heavy workout.
If you 5'5''/5'6'' and 140 lbs your at a healthy weight range, you probally don't need to lose so much weight just tone up.

Hmmm...doesn't sound like you need to lose any weight...unless you are really short...I wouldn't recommend eating less than 2 meals a day either...
