Oh, life is bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
The distance in your eyes
Oh no, I've said too much
I set it up

That's me in the corner
That's me in the spotlight, I'm
Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don't know if I can do it
Oh no, I've said too much
I haven't said enough
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try

Every whisper
Of every waking hour I'm
Choosing my confessions
Trying to keep an eye on you
Like a hurt lost and blinded fool, fool
Oh no, I've said too much
I set it up
Consider this
Consider this
The hint of the century
Consider this
The slip that brought me
To my knees failed
What if all these fantasies
Come flailing around
Now I've said too much
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try

But that was just a dream
That was just a dream

Yep... Heard it......

What if the singer were not concerned with religion..... What if the singer's religion was actually based on his idolatry for another human.... perhaps a woman.... or a man?.....

wouldn't you say, that would change the whole perspective of what you think it was all about.?????

I'd say..... it would.....

Don't think that because you've heard it, that you've heard it all.....

Great Song!
But as far as really hitting the point, hard to go past Ziggy Marley's "Shalom Salaam".Really shows the pointlessness of religious based wars. Plus having a great positive rhythm.
That would be my only criticism of L.M.R.
its a bit," slit your wrists with a rusty razor blade".
But definitely still up there.
Music can be more relevant than politics or religious spiel.
It touches something in us that the spoken word just cannot achieve.
Even a speech can sound great. Listen what "Zigs" Dad did with a speech given to the United Nations by H.I.M. Hailee Selassie 1,and hardly changed a word, yet it comes across as such an inspiring anthem called "War",in his hands.
So glad to know that people do still find more than a "boody call" in music.

Yes I have, wow those are the words, cool

I don't really relate to it, but the music is awesome.

Cos I don't have a religion I have a faith.

Yes, this is one of my favourite songs, though I don't usually like REM that much.
