Can only find Weight Watchers Reisling that is sweet. The extra light wines avaiable in South Africa have a much lower alchohol and calorie content and would like to find one here. The wine is also dry

Hi ive tried weight watchers wine and the white wine in it isnt too sweet neither is the smooth red. I know Asdas have started to do a light wine. But the thing is when you try to go for the lighter wines the volume of the alcohol goes down alot, but with weight watchers it doesnt. The only thing is to look around on the internet and see if you can find a make that does what you are asking. The only other choice is just to find a low calorie one wine that you dont mind the taste off. Maybe you could try getting in touch with weight watcher and see if you can put forward a idea of making a dry white wine.

There's some good German wines like that available, as lighter lower alcohol is a traditional style there, but they're not widespread. Bigger Sainsbury's should sell one called Dr Loosen (Riesling I think) which is 8% and fairly dry. It's a World Wine Awards winner. Or you could try going to Oddbins or Majestic and asking there.

The Weightwatchers sounds like Blossom Hill or Lambrusco, wine for people who don't really like wine, yuk.

The wines with lower calories unfortunately also have a lower alcohol content because alcohol is full of calories. The best bet is to buy a "light" wine with alcohol content of 5% and these will be lower calorie.

if you want to drink wine, just drink proper wine....

low calorie wine shouldn't even exist.... one will be destroying the wine flavour and everything.

Why would you want to drink that? That will spoil the nice natural taste
