I find this surprising.

Yes and No. It does not work like many speculate that it might.

When we return to the universal being-and-nothing, we are at some degree of peace with the unity of what some would call God. I do refer to, that which-is-and-is-not, to be God, and comprehend God through a Christian tradition and perspective.

God is comprised of all egos and events that ever have been or ever shall be. We are but sparks of the divine. Occasionally, we CHOOSE to manifest on the material place. Yes, I am saying we all did choose to be born.

Any illusion of past life regressions are either false memories, or a coalescence of a bit of the divine spark that once was. I am amazed how many people "remember" being the same person. This is because they have attenuated themselves to part of that divine spark, which burned brightly during it's manifestation on the physical plane.

I am highly attenuated to one, and immediately recognised another from that history, but it is not exactly "my" past life, unless one considers that we are all but fragments of the oneness of creation.

We aren't to remember past manifestations, as it would hamper our individual growth, because we do not remember the entirety of the cultural relevance whence the prior manifestation existed.

Occasionally, a child will become attenuated to energies present in their environment and may "channel" these energies. This is quite disturbing for the child and it's guardians, but does allow the players to deal with unresolved issues. It is best not to assign improper interpretations to these phenomena.

When we are born, and in our early years, we are presented with particular religious and cultural traditions. It is important that we remain faithful to these traditions, and recognize that our search for knowledge is colored by the perceptions formed in those early years.

My email account is open for serious dialog.

You're going to get a lot of flak for this question from those that don't believe in re-incarnation.

Be that as it may. I have engaged in many years of mediation, spiritual questing and hypnotic regression. I have no desire to convince others of this, but I have satisfied myself that I have had a number of previous incarnations. I have gained much insight into my own learnings and challenges (who I am and what I am here for) through this process.

I have done things in previous live that were good and things that were really not very noble at all... but I never was anyone famous from the history of this planet.

So, what happens after death. Here is my perspective: Generally, on the death of your current personality, you will be met by someone you have known and loved, or possibly your spirit guide. You will spend time in the spirit realm working over your life, analysing what you have learned and working through the choices you made. You will do quite a lot of work on your spiritual development and then begin working out what you still need to take your progression forward. As this happens so it will become clearer what form your next incarnation should take. This will be planned in some detail. You will then prepare and a part of your consciousness will then again incarnate. Or, possibly you will be ending your reincarnational cycle and will not reincarnate again but go on to do greater work in the spirit realm.

This is my belief but, once again, I have no need or desire to convince anyone that I am right. If it doesn't resonate for you you are welcome to discard my ideas as wild ramblings.

i personaly believe that after death POOF thats it, lights out. but you may awake in a different conciousness. example....

you get into a horrific car accident but manage to survive until you get into an ambulance where you happen to die.. i personaly believe that you will awake as a different person who just had a bad dream about a car accident or you may find yourself awaking once again into the world as a newborn.

the mind is to complex to assume that after death is nothing, but since noone has really survived to tell about death. in those cases where people have been marked as clinicly dead... the mind still creates activity up to 12 hours after the heart stops, therefore they can still think which creates visions of god, heaven, hell, allah.... etc these visions help the "dead" to comfort themselves. this is my own opinion right here.

i also believe that we are all in a way connected mentaly... the only proof of this i can come up with is the fact that ive had lucid dreams pertaining to the deaths of family members. ive had 5 dreams about the death of family members in my life and they have all come true with incredibly accuracy to my dreams.

it is said that subconciously a person knows up to a day or two in advance that they are gonna die. i cannot explain this because i dont know how its possible but i believe it because of my experiences.

I've got a pretty good feeling your going to get a lot of answers talking about if you've repented your sins you will end up in heaven. im gonna give my own two cents about religion in this sense so you can see where my beliefs fall into place...

im not bashing religion, i acctualy think its a good thing. sometimes i question the actions of the said religions but over all its a good thing.... so here goes..

im sure there are a lot of people that are afraid of death at least on some level, which is due to the unknown. its kinda like when you start a new grade at a new school, the butterflies in your stomach because you do not know what is gonna happen.
anyhoo i personaly believe this was a way to console those people, give them comfort in knowing there is something better to look forward too. ie... heaven.

in this same sense it would also fit into a form of control which is ok too. such as, if you break any of the ten commandments you must ask for forgiveness or you will end up in hell.

I'm not saying that the religions that believe in heaven and hell are the only ones around worth taking a peek at, its just that i dont know of any other examples from other religions so i appoligize for that.

also to go onto your MAIN question, there are people that have forms of deja vu which could be contributed to a past-life. that distinct feeling like, "hey this looks familiar and there should be a... yup its there, but how did i know there was gonna be a painting of blah blah right here? ive never been here before"

there are also Mediums that advertise the ability allow you to come into contact with a former life. you must be careful though
because for one true medium out there, there are 20 more fake ones just out to get your money.

i hope with this i have maybe enlightened you, moved you, or at the very least pissed you off, because then... and only then will i know that I've truly touched a person, on a spiritual level.
take care and know that i wish you luck on your endeavor to find the truth behind death.

Well you'll have the fundies come in and say heaven or hell..lol but seriously though if you want to kow, do what is necessary to find it and prove it in yourself. No reason to declare things you don't know, it's pretty ignorant. That's all fundies do and they can't discern anything remotely spiritual by any means.

I've done some past-life regression. I can't tell you what happens after death though. I have my theory, others have their own.

I have no reason whatsoever to believe in a provious life, or indeed an afterlife. Neither have you, if you're honest.
