Well it will 6 months since I've gotten my permit on December 19th since I got my permit on 6/19, how many days/weeks should I call in before making an appointment and do you think they will be open X-mas week? Not X-mas but like a day or two after it maybe? Would also be helpful if some of you guys give me some tips on what to do during the behind the wheel test. Thanks

More than likely, they'll be closed for Christmas day and Christmas eve. Before and after that, they should be open. The days they're closed and the hours they work should be posted on the door or in the window.
When taking your road test, be careful. That's all you have to do. Don't speed and don't forget to use the turn signals. Stay in your lane, don't cross the white or yellow lines. And do what the teacher tells you to.

They will be open after the holiday. For the test, relax and do as you are told. Both hands on the wheel, look over your shoulders and use your mirrors when changing lanes or turning, signal 100 feet before turning, know your hand signals: Down for stop, up for right turn and straight out for left turn. Parallel parking is very important in California. Try to have that down before you go. Stop at red lights and stop signs. Good luck!
