is my shoe too high or low on the arch?

If the shoes are new and you didn't blister before using them then it's the shoe. It's probably too low and rubbing.

I want to say that you might have a higher arch the your running shoes are supporting. Mak sure you are wearing RUNNING shoes ( this is still weird for me to call them shoes WE US OLD PEOPLE CALLED THEM SNEAKERS & WE ONLY WORE THEM FOR GYM AT SCHOOL) scince they make every type of sport sneaker (sorry shoes) I do not know if they make an insteep
support for sneekers I really doubt it But do not abuse your feet every injury you have or experince COMES BACK TO HAUNT YOU WHEN YOU ARE OLD Like Me
