if they really loved someone it is like women. Some men get mad and want to bash the woman but that is just the way they deal with it instead of crying. There is no way that anyone in a real relationship can get over someone over night. Dating anyone on the rebound or being on the rebound and dating someone new is never a good idea.

Are you serious? do you really believe there is one way for all men to deal with a break up? as, apparently there is a standard process for women.
In my experience, it all depends on who cared about the relationship more. They will have the harder time with the break up.
Everybody has a process. You do not just instantly decide to end a relationship. the length of this 'process' depends on a lot of factors. I would guess the most important factor would be the maturity of the relationship. The longer and stronger the relationship, the longer the break up will seem to take.
I would guess the 'process' really starts for both men and women at about the same time, when they realize they are unhappy in their current situation...maybe its just me, but it appears the person who initiates the break up already has an exit strategy.
This is because they have worked through the break up in there mind and have already dealt with it and have come to grips with it before the other person has any clue there is trouble in paradise. (for the record, there are always clues.)
thanks for letting me rant...

i've found that men deal with it a lot better. but now that ive gotten older i've learned to deal with men the same way men deal with women and its great. I know i won't be waiting around acting dumb. I may be sad for awhile but I will always get mine. just like a man would. I would never let him think that I am all about him and nobody else.

No men handle it more by whether or not you got sex during the relationship. Men feel like they want them back if they didnt get sex, but if they did, they can get over it easily. Guys would be more like, meh i dumped her, its over. Women tend to get emotional and cry and stuff thats all mushy, then tell their friends and would need to talk about it to someone, usually complain about you to another guy, some poor guy who thinks he has a chance with her even though its highly unlikely.

It's a process, and I'd say it's almost always worse than it is for women. Guys will sometimes obsess for months about it . . . about what went wrong, what could have been done differently, etc. That hurts. Have a nice day!

I'd say its a process. A VERY different process, but a process.
They wont cry or show any emotion around you, but if they truly love you then you MUST believe, in you're heart, that their feeling just as miserable as you. Its hard to believe, but it is true...

I went throuugh stages....
Denail - tried to get back with her...
then
Guilt - Mad i know, she dumped me.!
Then
Acceptance - left my broken heart, picked my self up and tried moving on.
ANGER - Very angry, basically told her to F*** O** and leave me alone..
I keep my angry thoughts, makes me feel better..!
Coupled with all of these, the the feeling of being 'dazed and confused' lol
Split up 4 months ago, after 4 years... :-)

Same process: sometimes it's like a switch, if you're not too interested or it was ending anyway; sometimes it's a brutal drawn-out affair.
