which one of the following OS are good?also i want problems related to them if any?Windows XP or Vista?

I have had Vista running on a seperate computer for about 2 months now and it has some nice new features .. and some that are driving me crazy .... for reliability and stability stick with XP ... an above answer was heading in the right direction in that all new releases of Operating Systems have their own little bugs and quirks
Stick with XP ... they finally got it right and it's as stable as it's ever been

**At this time you cannot compare between these as Vista has not yet been fully developed though it has loads of features than xp.Vista's first launch will be an test attempt to find the bugs which will be corrected and realeased in the next version.the entire hardware config should be changed for Vista system so for the year 2007 better stick on with xp.
ans: for present situation XP is better...in 08 vista will rule..

I have Windows XP that is 2 yrs old, and I have not had any problems with it.. gives good service, I don't know anything about Vista, you might check out this site, there is some info here that might help.

actually i wouldn't recommend windows vista for upgrade from windows xp. I know it is faster thatn windows xp. but right now all the software and drivers doesn't support windows vista because it just came out. Or if your don't want to upgrade and intall it on different partition than its good. but remeber not all the software support windows vista yet!
