A non-Muslim gets violation notices regarding comments about muslims, but they get away with slating everyone else with no repurcussions?
Are the administrators of yahoo answers muslims?

I think the whole violation set up is completely arbitary. One rule for one, different rule on Wednesdays, had arguement with the Mrs so lets send out some violations to pi55 someone off.
More people are appealing about violations, I think you need perserverance as the administrators aren't very responsive but hey, it's worth a go.

this is not true ...
the violations are automatic and if someone hits that report button , then the violation follows
i have recieved many many of them for silly reasons
i know people who have had the same treatment and yes some of them have been Muslim...
the system isnt run properly and each case should be looked at ... but that would take too much time , considering the amount of reports each day they must recieve

I get violation notices all the time and i'm not muslim. I question all religious statements in what i consider to be mostly a civil manner but christians seem to get unjustifiably upset when anyone questions their beliefs

it's may be somehow realted to the recent events such as "war on terror" and the tention in the midlle east. It is assumed that some people will express their hatered to muslims becasue of that. So, admins check offences. Or, muslims report abuses...
who knows... people have to be more polite I guess.

This is a very good question. I have noticed the same thing. It seems like we have to tread on eggshells around the Muslims.

Pangel is right, yahoo is basically just computerized, they don't read, or truly care, probably one person runs it, and takes a nap.

I got my share too...... seven question in a row, I got violations on, don't make any sense except perhaps one person that may not like you.

Because most nice people don't take vengeance on others. I have reported people before, but not out of vengeance. I have reported people for violating the rights of others. You know, kinda taking up for the underdogs, so to speak. Peace.
