i do.. i have a foster daughter in the gambia ... several years ago i also sponsored a girl from the filipines.... it is a rewarding experience, and the money really does go to the ppl you sponsor-- id recommend it to anyone ...

Even though I think the CCF is a good charity I dont donate.
There are several reasons why...
1. A person answered eariler only 11 cents out of every dollar goes to the comunity in need.
2. I donate to local charities like Stweart house, the RSL , Royal Deaf and blind instiutue.
3. Sometimes I donate money to UNICEF through it's argreement with Dorling Kinsderly ( DK ) where DK makes books which are made in conjuction with UNICEF and DK makes no profit out of thoes books and gives the money straight to UNICEF for where they need it most around the world.
4. In Australia at the moment we are living in the worst drougt in 100 years, there is barley no water in the weirs or dams for animals or humans to drink and we are in the worst ever bushfire season. I would rather give my money to Voulenteer firefighters or give the same money I would give to CCF to a family who needs water or food.

Personally, I don't. Because out of every dollar that goes to these types of funds, only about 11 cents gets to the community. The rest goes to administrators and other paid employees. I give to others by doing it whenever I see someone in need if I have cash on me. When I have no cash, sometimes I'll get some and go back to see if the person is still there. And please forgive me, because I'm not trying to brag and say, "Look how much good I do." I do nothing and never have done anything good. All good gifts come from God. Peace.

I have a foster child through World Vision and have exchanged many letters with my foster child. She has thanked me and told me how her family has been able to do with the little assistance she recieves from me. I am glad that it does help and I wish that i had more to give financially.
