Compared with Europe the US has a much higher rate of reported crime as well as prison population. during the 20th century the US prison population was near 2 million with 2 out of 3 people there on NONVIOLENT offenses. I've visited the county jail on charges of illegal lodging that is, I politely asked a person if I could continue washing a pair of pants at the edge of their property, they called the cops, I did 20 days. While visiting jail the most frequent nonviolent offense was drug related. I believe that making FDA approved drugs available without prescription will reduce crime. To reduce crime legalize street drug substitutes then hold people responsible for their actions..

Crime is also a matter of perception. There is an idea of elasticity of perception. I've read that Canada has just a seventh of the US crime rate yet the percent of surveyed persons that consider crime a problem is similar to the US. Thus even if crime were at a seventh the current level people would perceive a problem. There is a well known psycholocical test known as the Myers Briggs. About a third of the population has a strong sense of justice. If you, or a politician asks these people if crime is a problem they will react much more strongly. I think that verifiable victim compensation either psychologically or monetarily might reduce the perception of crime amongst those with strong justice perception.

Make lie detectors admissable at court
Lie detectors are now technologically effective There is a technology known as digital thermography that images microblushing sychronized to heartbeat This technology is more than 90 pt. accurate That is more accurate than other forms of admissable evidence. Prior to now lie detectors were deemed not admissable as evidence at court. Bringing lie detectors to court will deter preplanned crimes as well as moderate the number of spontaneous crimes.

to reduce crime:
minimize calling the cops on nonviolent offenses
verifiably compensate victims such that outrage is minimized
Use technology to verify truth Make people aware that lie detectors are effective.

Perfect the mass mind control device. The only way to have a crime free world is to have a world without free will or to have a world without laws. Not such a great place is it?

Set a good example and don't be a criminal. Help victims of crimes. Love others and teach others by example to do the same. Peace.

(did anyone notice that movie kinda predicted Arnold Schwartenegger's political career by saying he ran for govenor and got the law changed that disallowed immigrants to run for predident and won? He was actually supposed to be the President of the US in that movie)

It cannot be done unless you use mind controlling drugs & then that would still be a crime.
What criminal would do this to other's?
God gave us free will & some of us humans choose to use it for evil instead of good.
It will all stop when Jesus comes back,so please be ready & watchful!
