Whats important to know first and formost is that Jesus love was unconditional He died for those who would love Him as well as those who chose to reject Him. Salvation is free to whosoever desires to be saved.
Now The Bible Says
Luke 6:44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Luke 6:47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like:
Luke 6:48 He is like a man which built a house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
Luke 6:49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built a house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

Jesus Christ knows you love Him if you do the will of His Father,God. And, the will of His Father, God, is that we love one another, and worship God in spirit and in truth. Peace.
PS: What's the use in loving Him? He loved us first and He loves us completely and unconditionally. Everybody could use a friend like that. Peace.

Jesus can see into your heart! He knows us & our thoughts.
But God sent Him here to be a sacrifice for our sins & He set rules to salvation. That way everyone knows you are a Christian & love the Lord.
Public baptism is one of those rules.
THe steps to salvation are:
Hear the word, believe the word, admit you are a sinner, accept Jesus as your personal saviour & be baptized

You can't even "confirm" that he exists, much less that he's aware of anything. That's the part that requires "faith", see.
Just like I can't confirm that characters in other books exist.

what is faith is all about.....
the bible said that men are incapable of doing righteousness.
God loves us no matter what. He even sent Jesus to died in our place to gain our salavation to live in abundant life.
In your question, for me it shows that you try to love him by your own strength
To love God is by faith trusting Him no matter what
have this in your mind that i do all His commandments and The Holy Spirit will perfect it
You need to know who The HOLY SPIRIT is
and to have close relationship with GOD
bring that relationship to live

:) He knows the deepest yearning of our hearts, minds .... well it matters that we love Him in as much as He loves us, although we cannot love Him more than He loves us...... its like asking proof is something that u dont see, please do not take offence with my example ok,. its like how do i prove my brain works when i dont see how it works, then whats the use if u dont make the most of its functions.

You better love your brethren and forget about Jesus, he is dead and does not need your love.
