I just found out that I need to updated version of my microsoft and I tried to go start-programs-windows update, but that comes up with the message: The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem. The options are FAQ and Find Solutions. I tried both! Neither are working and I can't figure out how to fix the problem. Please help!

Right click on My Computer, select Manage. Expand Services and Applications. Click on Services. Automatic Updates should be started. Background Intelligent Transfer Service should also be started. Those are the usual culprits stopping the update pages from working.
If they are not running and set to Automatic, just right click and Start. If they are disabled you can enable them by double clicking and selecting Automatic (or Manual if you prefer) from the dropdown box. You may need to reboot for these to take effect.
