does it do this with all dvds or a specific, dvd? if it is a specific one then maybe it is in a format your dvd player cannot read, or it is damaged, if you have not tried more than 1 disc find other discs and try them. If it is all discs and the player is brand new well then ask your dealer.

Some DVD players will no play some discs. Check the zone on the disc. If it's an orignial disc you may have to look at cleaning the lens on the laser. If it's a copy It may be a bad one. Try a few diffrent disc and see how you go.

did u check the disc if its a DVD OR A vcd?don.t confuse the two, as they look alike. well check also if your dvd can play in a vcd as well as as all media type. if not why not buy a single dvd and play it on your tv as an extension. i had the same problem in the past, but now i am ok as i have an extra single dvd. good luck

Flip the disc over, combo units often mount the lasers above pointing down . often not always could be you have a serial plug that is not connected, typically they look like a ribbon ending in a rectangular plastic conduit or "plug" with 4,7,10 or 15 pins depending on make, model or mfg. at any rate i"ve never heard anything good about combo units.
