Unfortunately there is no wonder cure for being overweight. While true that growth and potential metabolism change that may be in your future could change the shape of your body, the liklihood is that your eating habits that got you to the current weight or appearance you are concerned about now, if continued, will continue to yeild the same results in the future. Plain and simple this is the 4 work weightloss plan that works for everybody. "Eat Less Excersize More." You can eat the same things you eat now, just gradually start to eat less, and less. Even if you dont have a gym to go to, Walk or run more than you do know, nothing drastic, start at it slow. Learn to rollerblade, or start bicycling. The more weight you want to lose the more you adjust your eating and excersizing amounts.

O.K. mate heres' what to do ,firstly don't stress.Like you said you haven't had your growth spurt yet , so many times this does the job for you .
I used to be a High School teacher( Physical Education and Science) and so many times school would break for the Christmas holidays and when the students returned I'd have to look twice to recognise them
Growing in to yourself can take some time so give yourself the best help you can don't put crap into your body . Snacks and sweets are O.K. just don't have them too often. Eat sensibly , do not go on a diet , find healthy foods that you enjoy (yes they do exist) Fresh is best, processed foods keep to a minimum Always remember this, your body is made up of the food you put into it, food is material for growth and repair it's a source of energy for thinking, working, and playing. Get outside and burn off some of that energy you 've put in play a game ,ride a bike ,go for a walk , knock around with your mates. Within reason walk to places that you might normally get a lift Don't sit around on your bum too long.
You want to create a lifestyle not a pattern of fixing problems Develope positve , healthy, enjoyable habits now and they will serve you for the whole of your life

dont worry about your weight at 13...my experience observing all 6 of my kids was that as soon as they had their growth spurt they slimmed right out...for real..no joke....just don't eat a lot of junk and soda...stick with real foods from the basic food groups and you will be fine..

do not try to "reduce" or "lower" the amount of crap you eat, that's a big mistake.
the difference between quitting smoking and losing weight is that you HAVE to eat, you do not have to smoke.... it is always harder to moderate than it is to quit.
here is what i suggest. take the foods that are bad but you like, lets say chocolate and macaroni & cheese for example... instead of saying "i will eat only 3 candy bars a week" tell yourself you will eat none... never ever, don't say for 3 months, just say I QUIT..
one thing that will help is to convince yourself that you HATE that stuff now. if you love chocolate, every time you see it, make yourself gag, tell yourself, "oh my god thats disgusting, horrible, you couldnt PAY me to eat that crap...." if someone offers you chocolate you do not need to say "no thanks, i am on a diet" just say, "no thanks, i am just not a candy kind of guy/girl" seriously, its not that hairbrained, try it some time.... take a food you like but is making you fat and just decide that you do not like it. your brain is a peice of meat just like your arm, YOU CONTROL IT COMPLETLEY.
BTW, i used to LOVE reeses peanut butter cups..... i can't imagine why i ever did though because i hate them, i went from about 4 a day to none, havent had any for about 3 months... they are disgusting, so are shakes and cheese cake. sigh.....
GOOD LUCK MY FRIEND. ~Tony Scotta
