The imitaiton crab meat is made from Whiting (it is a fish).
You are eating sushi from 7/11? Wow that it is even more ghetto than something I would have done.
Congratulations!

Imitation crab meat is a seafood product made by blending processed fish, known as surimi, with various texturizing ingredients, flavorants, and colorants. First invented in the mid-1970s, imitation crab meat has become a popular food in the United States, with annual sales of over $250 million. Surimi is the primary ingredient used to create imitation crab meat. It is mostly composed of fish myofibrillar proteins. These proteins are responsible for the quintessential characteristic of surimi that makes imitation crab meat manufacture possible, namely the ability to form a sturdy gel. The gel can be shaped and cut into thin strips which, when rolled together, mimic the texture of real crab meat.

Immitation crab and other immitation seafood products are made from white fish. It does have red die on it but more imporant, it has antibiotics on it to keep it fresh. Can you imagine a fresh fish sitting on the store shelf like the sealegs do? My husband is allergic to it because of the antibiotics and I talked with the manufacturers about it.

Sushi from a 7/11! LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!! That's rich!
Why didn't you just order a plate of processed headcheese, a side order of soya lecithin, and a large glass of food colouring. It probably would have been more healthy.
I once ate an order of nachos from a 7/11 and puked for 711 hours. They don't call it 7-11 for nothing. They get their food from the bottom of A & P's blue bins I think. They spend about 711 minutes scraping the maggots, mold, and fly dung off it.
You have a lot of guts, a LOT of guts. LOLOLOLOLOLOL

The main fish is called pollock. They make a slurry of it and add the flavor they want. Pollock dosent have much of a flavor of it's own and has soft flesh. It has to be processed soon after it is caught.
