Nope not "ALL" dogs snore loudly. Because of their short face, most Pugs snort, snuffle, wheeze, grunt, and snore loudly. The sounds are endearing to some people; nerve-wracking to others. I've never heard a Shih Tzu snore.

I have three standard poodles and the two (males) snore in unison, while the third (female) seems to answer back, as in an opera! The two males in unison are the same pitch, but are still quite perceivable as coming from separate sources. The third (female) in a distinctly separate pitch echoes back as if in answer to the males. I sometimes have to change bedrooms when the opera gets too lively.

My golden retriever snores loudly in my ear as soon as he hears me snore he up on my bed beside me. He knows the secret to Bush's baked beans. ( I know that is an ugly stereotype of retrievers.)

hmm.. a night sleep disturbance..
i'm a nursing student and we lessen snores among people by positioning their heads so that the flap of skin in our traches won't flutter when we exhale during sleeping. hmm.. i do not know with dogs if they also can be re-positioned to lessen snores.
i haven't slept with a dog. what i know is they also had dreams.. =)

Does my dog snore?... Is the pope a Catholic? YES, my dog who is a cholate brown lab, snores... likke he's calling in all the farm animals! I was told it may be due to an allergy, so I'm taking him to his vet ASAP... thanks for reminding me.

Nah, it's just allergic to hypocrisy. Right now I have it on 4 different kinds of medication. There seems to be an epidemic of fundyism through the known US. But, my vet did advise me; In less than 2 years, a permanent cure will be found for it. Then and only then, will my dog as well as my cats, be able to breath easy again. GO HILLARY IN 08!!!!!
