Not everyone is against the USA, but many nations are and individuals too. There's 3 main reasons: their foreign policy, and their arrogance, and their ignorance of cultures & affairs beyond their borders (particularly if they don't affect americans)

Take a look at this website....

http://www.robert-fisk.com/why_america_hated.htm

America is the most wanted place to live by other nationalities while being the most hated nation. Go figure....

Rich Americans have always been known as "Ugly Americans" since WWII. Too much money and too many high expectations while traveling abroad during that time.

God is why the Faithful came to America. What was left behind in Europe has succumbed to Islam and death.

I am an American and the only thing that I hold against America is the fact that our people, our politicians, our leaders NO LONGER HAVE BACKBONES!!! Political correctness will be the end of America when it is all said and done. The Bible doesn't even include the United States as part of end times.

If you don't stand for something you will fall for anything!

Well for me its glaringly obvious why I'm against America. Not that they are big and scary or anything to do with religion. I just don't accept that Bush had any valid reason for going into Iraq. There where no weapons of mass destruction and all the innocent lives that have been lost for me lie directly at his hands. I feel why would people elect this idiot he can hardly put a coherent sentence together never mind run a country. People say there are plenty of American people against this war too (true) but there are more who support him, more who think he is justified, more who would elect him again. And when you have seen children of Iraq with there limbs blown of lying next to there dead mothers. I for one am against America for such barbaric acts. And before people start banging on about 9/11 the two are not related, Osman does not live in Iraq and is not from Iraq, The purpose of this war was not revenge for 9/11 it was to find weapons of mass destruction, there was never any threat from Iraq towards America and Bush now is in control of all the pipe line just like he wanted (his real reason) Money and power, if that makes Bush and his Administration sleep better at night so be it. But there is a judgment day for them all and all there money and power will be no good to them then.

Seeking Answers.......... there is not one thing to be jealous of. One we have religous freedom in my country. Two we have freedom of speach in my country. So now give me a answer. What am i jealous of?

hi, i'm south african and one time i asked if americans knew anything unfabricated about my home. most of what i got was so shocking...rude and hurtful (well it was their opinion). Maybe my opinion is misguided, but i tend to believe so much freedom and wealth in your country has made most of your people to be cocky and emotionally abusive. all that rings from our folks is that you are ruled by greed, you are wealthy but still want more... in fact, world dominance. you look down on others like us because you think you have and know better, whereas most americans havent a clue about south africa... only what the media says, and which medium has ever related good news to the world? but then again, i repeat, my opinion may be misguided, but that is what i've percieved thus far.... by the way, ask away. curiosity doesnt kill the cat, it it kills ignorance and stupidity. lol

not everyone is against america. they are big and scary to the ones they bully, like iraq, afghanistan and vietnam. they're somehow misunderstood as being powerful, that's why countries like UK and Australia follow america's lead. they're misguided due to Bush's and some other previous presidents' foreign policies. they're perceived as religious because it's religious right, aka christian fundies are doing a good job marketing christianity.

I'm not. I'm against the prevailing attitude the United States as a whole advertises as a virtue. I'm against the US interference in other nations when they have no business being there in the first place.

Though I do wonder what in hell this has to do with religion and say you should take this to the politics section where it belongs.

Most do not view America that way. I suspect that for the most part they do tend to view the current administration (of George W. Bush) as threatening and dangerous to the general peace and well-being. This is not something that most people in the USA are likely to see unless they travel abroad or educate themselves.Religion has nothing to do with it.

I think during the last century we began to develop the "Ugly American' reputation. Much of the cause lay with our constant interference in other countries politics and our quest to establish ourselves as a strong presence in order to be able to harvest the natural resources of third world countries. However, on the other hand, aren't we usually the first ones they expect to help out with foreign aid when other nations are in trouble? Mankind is such a complicated beast, prone to petty jealousies and envy, self-righteousness,greed, the need to conquer and territorialize in order to control world power. On the whole I would much rather live in this country than in a country of less opportunity or one where war and famine are a part of everyday life.

the disgusting way America manipulates the world financial markets in order to craete short -term growth without giving thought to the consequences My generation will suffer

the way you selectively police the world if there's natural resource or economic gain to be made the United States is there if it is simply about helping another country the United States couldn't care less

Half your country's a bunch of right wing narrow minded pro-life , evangellical facists and the other half is too fat and lazy to do anything about it I mean thats the only explanation i can come up with for the Bush's re-election

The answer is very simple and lies in this question
Why America is fingering to the entire world, why not America just do her own business and leave the world what they want to do.
Why not all the world is against Germany or Switzerland or France?
