Cappuccino is a large Italian beverage prepared with espresso, hot milk and milk foam. A cappuccino differs from a caffè latte, which is mostly milk and a little foam.

Try it.

Heaven.

True Italian Cappuccino is about 1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk, 1/3 foam. (2 oz apiece) Alternately, Caffe Latte is supposed to be predominately steamed milk with only a little foam. Latte should be weaker.

The Seattle coffee revolution bastardized coffee culture, making Lattes and Cappuccinos the same as well as completely mucking up macchiatos, among other staple drinks.

Besides, drinking a really good cappuccino from a paper cup is like sipping fine Bordeaux from a dixie cup.

Cappuccino is a coffee beverage that can be either hot or cold. Cold cappuccino consist of cold milk and expresso which may be sweetened to taste while hot cappuccino consist of steamed milk and expresso. In a hot cappuccino the milk is steamed and foam is created in the process. Expresso is poured into the cup then the milk is poured onto the expresso bringing the mixture to half way and the foam is held back with a spoon. The other half of the cup is topped with the foam thus creating a cappuccino. So basically a hot cappuccino is 1/2 expresso and milk 1/2 foam. Sweetener, nutmeg and other spices can also be added for taste.

Always make sure your cappuccino is really light. If it is heavy, then it is not going to be very good.
